Title: Project Management Office (PMO) Manager

SUMMARY

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Project Management Office (PMO) Manager to lead and oversee our organization’s project management team in the IT Integration, Services and Deployment industry. The PMO Manager will be responsible for establishing and maintaining project management standards, ensuring multiple project teams complete projects on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management in IT infrastructure and deployment, a deep understanding of project management methodologies, and the ability to drive continuous improvement within the PMO.

The PMO Manager will work closely with senior leadership to align project goals with the organization’s strategic objectives, provide guidance and support to project managers and project coordinators, and ensure the successful delivery of projects. This position demands the ability to work under pressure, a proactive approach to problem-solving and adaptation, and the ability to foster a collaborative and productive work environment amongst multiple teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and maintain project management standards and best practices.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of project objectives, timelines, and progress
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Develop and implement PMO policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to project managers and teams.
  • Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and status meetings with multiple teams.
  • Train newly hired Project Team Members on all standard PMO practices and policies
  • Responsible for hands-on oversight of onboarding of new customers
  • Manage project risks and issues and develop mitigation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project delivery.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for project managers and project coordinators.
  • Evolve a culture of continuous improvement within the PMO.
  • Manage resource allocation and capacity planning.
  • Support the adoption of project management tools and technologies.
  • Lead change management initiatives related to project management.
  • Maintain a repository of project documentation and lessons learned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience working with skilled technicians
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience with project management software and tools.
  • Ability to manage project budgets and financials.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Experience in risk management and issue resolution.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience in developing and implementing PMO policies and procedures.
  • Ability to provide training and development to project managers and project coordinators.
